Dr. Englund
Dr. Mary Englund is a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in working with children, adolescents and adults. Dr. Englund graduated from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology, Chicago Campus (presently called Argosy University) in 2004. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at The Children’s Hospital in Denver, Colorado in 2004. In Colorado, she specialized in research-supported treatments for anxiety, mood and eating disorders. Dr. Englund also completed two post-doctoral fellowships, one at Linden Oaks Hospital at Edward and another at an anxiety clinic/private practice in Naperville.
Dr. Englund utilizes research supported cognitive-behavioral strategies to empower clients. She views therapy as a collaborative approach. Dr. Englund often refers to herself as a "worry doctor/coach." She utilizes cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure therapy, stress management and relaxation strategies in her psychology practice. Dr. Englund provides consultations to doctors, teachers as well as parents.
Dr. Englund is a member of the American Psychological Association, Obsessive Compulsive Foundation and Psychology Today. She loves reading and staying updated on new research. She loves being outside with her husband, son, daughter and dog.
